How to Create an Empty Album in Google Photos? [Solved]

An Album in Google Photos is not a “box” where you put photos in. It's a “tag” you add to a photo to indicate it belongs to a group of photos.

That's the why you may have the same photo in multiple Albums and when you delete a photo from one Album it's keeped in other Albums, you are just deleting that tag from that photo.

So, there can be no”group of photos” (Album), if there is no photos grouped.

Another way to create an empty album in Google Photos?

It is sad to see Google go the Microsoft way. Google UI s were always intuitive but not this one. Picasa was much easier to use

You have to click on upload (right hand top corner ) → select more than one photos from your pc → click on open in the window . A small popup will appear on the left bottom corner showing upload progress . Once it is complete ,you can name the album and then click the tick on the left top corner to save . You can then add more photos to it by clicking the usual + symbol on the right top corner.
